An ideal destination for last-minute getaways and early bookings alike, Looe Bay Holiday Park is home to an exceptional range of activities, facilities and entertainment. Start the day with a refreshing dip in the tropical-style swimming pool, before catching a few rays on the outdoor sun terrace. If the little ones have some extra energy to burn off, there’s no shortage of activities to keep them entertained. Let loose on the outdoor adventure playground, the indoor soft play area, or the multi-use sports courts for hours of healthy fun. If you’re feeling competitive, why not have a family showdown in the arcade, or test your skills on the mini-golf course. The best thing about booking a caravan holiday at Looe Bay, however, may be the location. Nestled in one of the most picturesque parts of England, even with so much going on inside the park, you’ll want to spend at least a day exploring all Looe has to offer. If you’re a fan of seafood, there’s no better place to be, as restaurants serve up fish fresh from the harbour, with tomorrow’s lunches still swimming around in the ocean.
Looe Bay Holiday Park is located on St Martin’s Road, Looe, PL13 1NX. Less than seven miles south of Likesard in South East Cornwall this caravan holiday park is easy to get to by car, and you’ll even have quite a view from the window along the way. Enter Cornwall via the Tamar Bridge (it’s worth noting that you’ll have to pay a small toll) and continue along the A38 towards Likesard. Once you reach the Trerulefoot Roundabout, passing Kernow Mill on your left, take the first exit onto the A374. After a short drive, turn right onto the A387 and take this road as it continues as the B3253. After a little way, Looe Bay Holiday Park will come into view on your left. If you’re travelling by train, head toward Looe Station. From here, you’ll be able to get the 72 bus towards Plymouth City Centre, all the way to the park entrance. You can also catch a National Bus from Liskeard.
Brimming with all kinds of family-friendly facilities, from peaceful locations to lively activities, there’s never a dull moment during holidays at Looe Bay. As if the sandy shores of the nearby Looe beach weren’t enough, the holiday park is home to a tropical-style indoor heated swimming pool. No holiday park would be complete without a glittering amusement arcade, where you can while away hours on dozens of vintage and state-of-the-art games machines. If you feel like getting outdoors, head to the sports courts, and challenge the little ones to a game of tennis, football, basketball or mini-golf. Let the kids loose in the soft play area while you kick back on the outdoor sun terrace or head to the bowling alley for some classic holiday fun. Of course, while on holiday, you should never have to spend time slaving away in the kitchen. That’s why Looe Bay is home to a vast assortment of excellent places to eat. Legends Takeaway and the barbeque Surf Shack are great for grabbing something on the go or you can head to Polperro Bar and Grill for a full three-course sit-down dinner.
Looe is a summary of everything great about Cornwall. From its sandy beaches to its enchanting holiday cottages, its above-average sunshine and its below-average rainfall, a trip here provides you with a little bit of everything that makes the South West county so special. What’s more, the town still functions as a fishing port, meaning it’s flooded with incredible restaurants, serving delicious seafood brought straight from the harbour. Take a trip down to the ocean’s edge to explore the rock pools and see what makes Looe Beach one of the most popular sandy spots in Cornwall. From there, take a stroll along the pier and the cobbled streets of East Looe. Wander in and out of the town’s many quaint boutiques and find the perfect holiday gifts for your friends and family. If you fancy travelling a little further afield, how about heading to one of Looe’s many nearby attractions, like the ancient smuggler’s village of Polperro or Porfell Wildlife Park. Of course, no trip to Cornwall is complete without visiting the Eden Project. Named after the biblical garden, visiting this award-winning ecosystem really does feel like a trip to paradise. By creating a tropical microclimate indoors, the Eden Project has managed to breed some of the world’s most beautiful and often bizarre plants. Many of which only exist here and in the depths of the Earth’s warmest regions.
