Queenshill Lodges offer peacefully positioned, well equipped lodges built on the site of an old mansion house. The lodges overlook the beautiful walled garden which is open for guests to explore all year round. There are miles of paths for walking and just over the hill at Barstobrick there is a horse riding centre and coffee shop. Maps and clue sheets for two history and wildlife trails, as well as the Galloway Faerie Trail, can also be purchased here. Queenshill Lodges 1-4: These lodges sleep up to four guests comprising one double room and one full size bunk room. Queenshill Lodges 5-6: These lodges sleep up to three guests comprising one double room and one single room. All our lodges are comfortable and cosy, our wooden lodges are equipped with everything you need to make your stay as stress free as possible. Queenshill Lodges is a peaceful and tranquil location and the minimal site lighting ensures you are able spend the evenings admiring the regions dark skies – a truly unique experience! Castle Douglas, known as the food town and Kirkcudbright, known as the artists town, are both under 10 minutes away by car. Also nearby are several safe sandy beaches, art galleries, Scottish Natural Heritage sites including Threave Gardens, excellent golf courses, 7-stanes mountain biking routes and a large selection of eateries serving first class, locally produced food.
