As well as having incredible facilities, the park is also surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Take a stroll in the lovely heathland which surrounds the park or along the sand and shingle beach. Located in Poole, a town on Englandâs south coast, it couldnât be easier to reach the park by car. Simply join the A31 from the M27 and then follow the signs towards Poole town centre. Once you arrive in the centre of town, follow the signs for Rockley Park. An alternative route would be taking the Dorchester bypass to Poole and following signs from there to the park. If youâre travelling by public transport, then the nearest mainline train station to the park is located in Poole. From here you can change trains and journey on to the station of Hamworthy, which is just over a mile away from the park. Alternatively, you can catch a taxi straight from Poole to the holiday park.

If youâre craving some more seaside adventures, then head to Sandbanks Beach, which is just a 20-minute drive from the park. This beautiful golden sand beach stretches on for miles and slopes gently into the ocean, making the beach perfect even for small children. Upton Country Park is another great day trip from Rockley Park Holiday Park. Explore the beautiful Georgian mansion, set amidst 160 acres of pretty parkland and estate gardens. Thereâs a Woodland Play Trail and Summer Splash Fountain to keep the kids entertained as well as a beautiful botanical garden and tearooms for the grown-ups. Whatâs more, entry to the park is free every day of the week - the only thing youâll need to pay for is the parking - making this a great day out even if youâre on a budget. Catching the ferry over to Brownsea Island makes for another great day trip from the park. Owned by the National Trust, Brownsea Island is home to a vast array of animal and plant species. Keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of the elusive red squirrel during your visit or else hop aboard one of the winter bird boat tours which will take you all around Poole Harbour and the island.
