Oxford
Head to the famous university city of Oxford for a day of sightseeing. You’ll find the streets here lined with breathtaking Medieval buildings, towering spires and ancient churches, and, of course, you’ll also spot a prestigious college on every other street corner. Browse shelves groaning with ancient tomes at the Bodleian Library, one of the oldest libraries in Europe, before cruising down the river on a punt.
The Cotswolds
The quaint honey-coloured stone villages, gently rolling hills and sweeping meadows of the Cotswolds all play a part in making it one of the most picture-perfect spots in the whole of the UK. Just 30-minutes away from Bicester Village, meaning it’s well worth getting out and exploring this very special Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty during your visit.
Blenheim Palace
Home to over 300 years of British history, this colossal country house makes for a great day trip. The birthplace of Winston Churchill, the iconic Blenheim Palace was used as a hospital for soldiers during WW1 and as lodgings for evacuated pupils for a year during WW2. The interiors are a masterpiece of Baroque architecture and the surrounding grounds and park were beautifully landscaped by Capability Brown.

Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway
Wind your way through stretches of stunning countryside on a traditional steam train. The friendly drivers at Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway will take you on a seven and a half-mile round trip. It will then stop briefly on Platform 4 at Princes Risborough station, before heading back to Chinnor again. What’s more, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the trains and even get to travel for free.
