Travelling by car to Windsor Castle

If you’re travelling to Windsor Castle by car, leave the M4 at junction 6 onto the southbound A355. For parking, you’ll find multi-storey and open-air car parks as well as a 74-space coach park in Windsor town centre. These car parks are less than a 10-minute walk from Windsor Castle.

Travelling by train to Windsor Castle

If you’re travelling by train, there are two train stations near Windsor Castle. Windsor & Eton Castle train station is a 6-minute walk from the castle and Windsor & Eton Riverside train station is 8 minutes.

After royal Windsor, we’d highly recommend Slough. A 12-minute drive from the castle and ideal for outdoorsy folk, explore pretty gardens in Farnham Common and boat rides across the River Jubilee.

Maidenhead

The bustling market town of Maidenhead is a 20-minute drive away. If you choose a holiday rental here, choose one that’s a short walk away from the high street. Filled with independent shops, pubs and restaurants, you’ll have lots to get up to.
