Ideal for a break in the Derbyshire Peak District throughout the seasons. At the ground level you will be greeted via a sunroom into the impressive interior. A cosy sitting area with mezzanine reading area above both with tasteful furnishings, perfect for retiring to when evening draws in. A delightful newly fitted cottage kitchen, leading into the light filled shower room. The stairs lead you to the landing area with seating to enjoy a book or just a view out of the Velux window. The bedroom is light and airy with a double bed to enjoy once a day’s exploring has been completed. Outside is a cottage garden and seating area with furniture to enjoy your morning coffee. Matlock and Matlock Bath are close by, giving the opportunity to explore the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom accessed through a cable car, and offering spectacular views of the Derwent Valley. From here you can tour the network of caverns and passageways or walk over sixty acres of woodland hillside. An ideal base from which to explore the region’s attractions including the magnificent stately homes.
The beautiful Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are an absolute must see. Visit the picturesque villages of Bakewell and Ashover both close by. Excellent walking can be found from the doorstep, plus activities at Carsington Water including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and cycling, plus excellent birdwatching in the surrounding areas.

We have just returned from 4 days. Lovely quaint little barn. Perfect for a few days away with our little dog Lily.Situated in a cul de sac with other houses around (we thought it was on its own when we saw photos).Very clean and warm. Everything you need in barn to make an enjoyable break. Close to Matlock Bath and Matlock (both hiking distance). Plenty of places to visit and eat out. We would return thank you.

Cosy, warm and very tranquil. Everything you need provided with. Short enjoyable(down hill) walk into Matlock bath. Plenty to do on doorstep. Would book again in future.
