Dove Cottage has been given the love and attention it deserves with a full renovation in 2022 and made it a fantastic holiday retreat for couples with no expense spared, meaning visitors are ensured of perfection throughout.
You enter the property into the open plan living/kitchen area on the ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped and well-presented and has all the necessities should you not wish to dine out at the many restaurants and pubs close by. The living area has a comfortable sofa which is great to snuggle up on in front of the Smart TV. Up one flight of stairs, which due to the nature of property, are quite steep, you have a good-sized bedroom with plenty of storage space and a plush kingsize bed with good quality linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep after exploring this stunning area. On the same floor is the stylish en-suite bathroom with contemporary white sanitary ware and large walk-in shower.
The location of Dove Cottage is perfect; Knaresborough has its own fantastic market on a Wednesday and is also famous for Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well and boasts an interesting castle, painted by JMW Turner, perched high on the cliff top. Stroll along the riverside promenade, relax with an ice cream or hire a boat and spend an afternoon ’messing about on the river’. If you did want to go further afield there is the stylish spa town of Harrogate just a short 20-minute drive, Harrogate is bursting with fantastic restaurants, pubs, and not to forget the world-famous Betty’s Tearoom which is a must for afternoon tea.
Knaresborough is on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales meaning there are plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning countryside, whether it being on foot or by bike, you will always have plenty to see and investigate.

Great location for heading into town where there are great pubs and restaurants. Five minute walk to the river. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Amenities good although slightly bigger sofa would be nice. There are no drawers in bedroom to store belongings and a few more coat hangers wouldn’t go a miss. Overall a fab little cottage, ideal for a few night’s stay. Knaresborough is a lovely town with lots of amenities and local walks. Would stay again.

What a gem of a place. Spotlesly clean and very comfortable. 5 minute walk from town centre and market place and a few more minutes to the iconic view from the castle. Will definitely book again next time I'm in Knaresborough
