The Hen House receives high praise for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like a welcome breakfast pack. While there are minor concerns about heating control and a mention of an oven needing cleaning, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning to return.
Reviews consistently mention the property being very clean and comfortable, with only one isolated comment about an oven needing a better clean. The high standard of cleanliness contributes to the positive experiences of guests.
The property is appreciated for its quiet, rural setting, with easy access to local attractions and towns. Some guests note the remoteness as a positive feature, while others mention the convenience of nearby pubs and attractions.
Guests find The Hen House to be spacious, with a comfortable bed and a relaxing atmosphere. There is a single mention of the bathroom being cold, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The property is well-equipped with modern facilities, though there are comments about the need for written instructions for the cooker and TV/DVD. The heating control issue was raised, but the hosts' responsiveness to these concerns mitigates the impact on the score.
Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome pack and the hosts' helpfulness. While these gifts are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Chris and Claire made us very welcome. The cooked breakfast ingredients were a welcome surprise, Despite the inclement weather we were able to find plenty of things to do. We would also recommend Capadocia Restaurant in Diss if you enjoy Turkish food.

Thanks to Claire and Chris for a great stay.

Red House Farm has around 5 acres of beautiful grounds to explore - along with ponies, hens, bats after dark (and you might see deer if you're lucky! We saw a muntjac one evening). The barn conversion is perfect - very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed watching the birds in the little garden on the bird feeder, and sitting outside on the sun loungers. There are some gorgeous walks in the local area - We enjoyed walking to the church ruins of St. Mary's Tivetshall - and recommend the Ram at Tivetshall for a hearty lunch. Claire and Chris's recommendations in the Information Guide were spot on! We had a marvellous daytrip to Pensthorpe Nature Park near Fakenham and we had delicious Fish & Chips from "The Little Chippy" in Dickleburgh en-route back to the Farm (both these were recommended in the black folder!). Claire and Chris are great hosts - we enjoyed the friendly chats, meeting all your animals, and talking about the local area. We will have no hesitation in recommending your lovely holiday Lets to family and friends. Thank You!!
