Visit Cerne Abbey, the historic town of Sherborne, Dorchester and Weymouth with their many attractions, or spend days out down on the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast between Weymouth and Lyme Regis. Parking behind the property was a problem for us as we have a larger vehicle. However, we were able to park elsewhere in the lane, nearby.

This is a comfortable house in a lovely village with three good pubs, a well-stocked shop for provisions, and plenty of walks nearby. It’s both cosier and more spacious than it appears in the photos (no wide-angle lens trickery!) and very well equipped. The heating was easy to control… and to turn off when not needed, e.g. in the bedrooms at night. We didn’t find parking to be a problem; the allocated space behind the house is usable, if tight, for a normal-sized car, but after the first day we parked on the street (opposite the house and to the left). We also appreciated being able to load and unload the car immediately outside the house. We’d be very happy to stay here again.
