Multiple reviews highlight the cottage's exceptional cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'super clean', 'very clean', and 'really clean'. No negative comments regarding cleanliness were noted.
The location is frequently described as beautiful, peaceful, and ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. The only drawbacks mentioned are the closure of the local pub and the need for transport to reach shops and eateries.
Guests found the cottage cosy, spacious for two, and enjoyed restful sleep. The log burner and garden add to the comfort. However, a few guests mentioned the sofa was uncomfortable, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage is repeatedly described as well-equipped, especially the kitchen and log burner. Guests appreciated the abundance of kitchenware, clear instructions, and plentiful firewood. One review noted a shower issue that was not resolved, but this was an isolated comment.
Many guests mention welcome gifts such as wine, cake, milk, and biscuits, as well as helpful touches like printed walking directions. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Set in a pastoral valley, Chedworth is a picturesque village, where you may see alpacas in the surrounding fields and gamboling lambs in spring. Unspoilt by tourism, it has many public footpaths in and around it, and lays claim to being the longest village in England. Nearby is Chedworth Roman Villa, and at just 15 minutes’ drive is the Roman town of Cirencester (Corinium), with its amphitheatre and museum, which has two superb mosaics.
The beautiful market towns of Winchcombe, Stow-on-the Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden are all an easy drive away, and for a day trip, why not visit the Roman spa town of Bath; Cheltenham and its racecourse; Oxford’s dreaming spires; Stroud and its artists; Tetbury with its antique shops and ancient covered market; Malmesbury and its abbey, (the burial site of Athelstan, the first king of all England); and Bristol with its historic docks? Our second visit to Ivy Cottage, great location, just wish the local pub would re- open.

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful peaceful village. Sad that there is no local pub or shop but it seems to be the way things are nowadays in these small villages. This does not, however detract from the cottage. It is cosy but spacious enough for 2 people. A lovely log fire and well equipped kitchen. I particularly liked the bedroom which was large and airy with plenty of storage space. We had 2 cars and, whilst there is only space on the drive for one, there are plenty of spots on the road nearby to park. The owner was extremely helpful and easy to contact. I’m pretty sure we will return.

Ivy Cottage was beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the wood burner and the kitchen which has a fantastic range and pretty much any cooking equipment you could want. Chedworth is a gorgeous little village. Would recommend.
