Tucked away to the rear of the owner’s home, this property has been carefully converted and co-ordinated throughout to provide comfortable accommodation, enjoying its own private walled and gravelled courtyard. Well-placed for exploring the historic city of York with its winding cobbled streets, easily accessed via a Park and Ride, 15 minutes away. Alternatively take a picnic to Benningborough Hall or Fountains Abbey, both National Trust and approximately 15 miles away. The spa town of Harrogate is a short drive and boasts a wide selection of individual shops, pubs and restaurants - with afternoon tea at Betty’s a must do. For that special occasion, book a meal at Goldsborough Hall, once home to Princess Mary and now a luxury hotel and restaurant. Pub 300 yards.

Had a great stay- the cottage was lovely within a beautiful village. The hosts Sue and Keith were welcoming and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

I had a very pleasant weeks stay. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Despite the cold weather the electric heaters were perfectly efficient. One niggle was that although I was aware that there was no wi-fi in the cottage the mobile reception wasn’t great - unless I went upstairs to the bedroom where it was much better . Overall I was very happy with the accommodation.
