We have stayed here before and when it was available for this stay, it was a no brainer. Comfy and homely cottage in the middle of Ambleside. Due to it's tucked away location it is also quiet. We will be back

We had a fantastic long weekend at Shambles Cottage. The location in the heart of the village is fantastic and makes it easy for visiting Ambleside but also being able to walk straight to a number of Wainwrights. The welcome gifts were an added bonus we hadn't expected! We would definitely stay here again, fantastic value for money in a great location
