Clematis Cottage is praised for its excellent location, cleanliness, and comfort, with guests enjoying the scenic views, local walks, and proximity to amenities. Some minor issues with heating and maintenance were noted, but the charm and tranquility of the cottage, along with its well-equipped nature, make it a desirable stay. Guests appreciate the welcoming touches and plan to return.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its beautiful scenery, good walks, and convenient access to local pubs and amenities, making it an ideal rural Yorkshire Dale experience.
The cottage is generally considered warm and comfortable with comfortable beds and a log burner, although some guests experienced issues with heating and a buzzing noise in one of the bedrooms.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-stocked kitchen and modern bathroom. However, points are deducted for reported maintenance issues such as non-working lights and heating problems that were not promptly addressed.
Guests mention treats provided by the host, which adds a thoughtful touch to the welcome experience. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this is a delightful bonus rather than a standard offering.

This is walking country, with both challenging hill walking and more leisurely walking along the river. You can always take the bus to Grassington and walk back to the village alongside the river, enjoying some spectacular scenery along the way and even try the Hebden supension footbridge or the stepping stones.

Lovely cottage very well situated, with views of the river from all front windows.Warm, comfortable and very well stocked, with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, plenty of seating and a log burner.Plenty of scenic walks right from the front door.Just a couple of minor niggles, the kitchen was cold the only heating in there was underfloor heating, which did nothing to heat the room.In the main bedroom when you were laid down in bed a constant humming/buzzing noise could be heard coming through the wall from the cupboard in the bathroom. If noise bothers you take earplugs.Would definitely book this cottage again.

Gorgeous Cottage. Beautifully clean and well equipped in a lovely area. Although we had to cut our stay short due to family issues, we plan on returning very soon. Maybe the Welcome Pack could be better
