The owners are frequently commended for their helpfulness and attention to detail, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as exceptional, with numerous guests calling the cottage spotless, beautifully kept, and immaculately presented. Only one minor mention of a strong detergent scent was noted, but this did not detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The location is praised for its peace and quiet, rural charm, and proximity to the Lincolnshire Wolds and coast. Some guests note the remoteness and limited nearby amenities, but most view this as a positive for a relaxing break. A few mention single-track roads and farm noise during harvest, but these are minor points.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spacious, cosy, warm, and comfortable, with high-quality beds and plenty of hot water. The layout, with en-suite bedrooms on separate floors, is especially appreciated by families and those with mobility needs.

The cottage is widely regarded as extremely well-equipped, with everything needed for a self-catering stay. Facilities such as a wood burner, modern TV, and ample storage are highlighted. One guest noted the absence of a washing machine, but this was a rare comment.

Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome baskets, books, games, and local information. The owners are praised for their helpfulness and responsiveness. However, as gifts like welcome baskets are not always provided, guests should note that these are not guaranteed.

A fabulous bolthole if you like to be on your own and quiet; we loved it. We slept like babies in the peaceful surroundings, bothered by no-one, apart from a pheasant and his harem passing through. There is an equally peaceful, but very accommodating and historic pub a mile or so away, which served substantial meals at good prices. The cottage was spotless and provided everything you could need, including tea towels, which I often forget and aren't always available. I used the teapot, so would have liked a tea cosy, but that's no big deal. Some basics, such as teabags, balsamic vinegar, S&P, toiletries, starter pack of logs, were thoughtfully provided, along with more than ample towels. The cottage is comfortable and cosy, with a lovely finish and we thought it was good value for money. You are about 20 mins or so from Louth, where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. The Mansion House served delicious food in a historic building; we went twice as the staff were so nice and helpful, in addition to the excellent food. Highly recommended and very unusually, we will probably go back for more R & R.

Lovely cottage. Beautifully kept and very clean. Had everything you could possibly need. Really enjoyed visiting Lincoln city centre and excellent Italian restaurant in Louth. Would recommend this cottage as an escape from busy London where I live.
