About this property
Springhouse Farm Cottage is situated at the entrance of Springhouse Boutique Holiday Park in Slaley Forest, and provides spacious holiday accommodation for groups of up to 8 people (plus maximum to extra infants in cots). The cottage was originally the working heart of the old farm and has recently been developed into a lovely holiday cottage. The whole house stretches across a single floor and each of the four bedrooms (two double and two twin) provides ample space for guests.
This detached cottage boasts lovely views and a cosy wood burner for chilly nights in. The well-equipped kitchen/dining room includes a gas oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and there is also a handy utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage also boasts a small lawned garden, with paved patio area, hot tub, garden furniture and lovely views. Parking for four cars is also available.. Set in a rural location close to Hadrian’s Wall, Springhouse Country Park is a superb base from which to explore this magical area and is home to a superb array of wildlife. You can discover many great walks through the beautiful local countryside right on your doorstep.
Nearby Hexham with its ancient Abbey is well worth a visit while charming villages and great country pubs abound. Durham, Newcastle, Northumberland National Park and the breathtaking north east coastline are also within easy reach. . Set in a rural location close to Hadrian’s Wall, Springhouse Country Park is a superb base from which to explore this magical area and is home to a superb array of wildlife. Lovely, spacious cottage. Incredible views from the living room and garden and loads of wildlife around. Staff really friendly and helpful.However, cottage itself could do with some improvements. Mouldy blind and shower curtain in shower room need replacing. Drains in the bathroom smelled when window not open. Some signs of damp in the corner of master bedroom. Some jets in the hot tub don't work.If the above was addressed, we would 100% stay again
