Situated in the heart of the Victorian spa town of Moffat, this 250-year-old, stone, end-terraced cottage retains its traditional character and is an ideal base from which to explore the area. Horse riding, quad biking and golf are all available locally and the 7stanes offers world class mountain biking across Dumfries and Galloway, and the Scottish Borders. Rod hire is available in town for three fishing lochs at the Green Frog Centre on the edge of Moffat, which also has an adventure play park and animal farm. Edinburgh, Carlisle, Glasgow and the historic castles and abbeys in the borders are within an hour of Moffat. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Well equipped cottage and dog friendly. The only thing I would recommend is a baby gate at bottom of stairs as dogs not allowed upstairs. The cottage is right near a great field, river and park for the dogs which was great 👍 and just a step away from shops and high Street. Overall a good place to stay

Excellent accommodation. Very central to town but quiet. The cottage was clean, well kept and had everything we needed. The local shops and Co-op kept us in provisions and there are plenty of places to eat out or grab a takeaway.Walking in the local hills was a pleasure, even in the rain!Couldn't always get the car parked on the street but there was always space on the cobbles in the town centre so it was not problem.
