On the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Hellifield is a small community situated midway between Settle and Skipton. Iconic butcher's shop and old railway station are among the modest businesses in this bustling village. There is also an excellent local bar and a few smaller shops. Neighboring a massive limestone outcrop in the British Isles, the hamlet is nestled amongst the most beautiful rolling scenery in the country. With its location at the confluence of the Dales and Ribble Valley moorlands, Hellifield has long been an important agricultural hub, and its cattle market has long been a fixture in northern England's agricultural calendar. Settle-Carlisle Railway passes through some of the most stunning and inspiring upland terrain in the country on its journey to its current status as a railroad hub. It is only a short drive from Malham Cove to Skipton and Malham, two towns in the Yorkshire Dales region known for their natural beauty. As a starting point for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Forest of Bowland, Hellifield is an ideal place to stay while on your trip.

The cottage was well furnished, clean and with all essential amenities to hand. It was a good base for us to explore the Dales and come back in the evenings to a warm cosy cottage to relax and recharge for the next day. Really pleased with the stay and will definitely go back again.

Short walk into Hellifield. Owner was very helpful.

We could the owner, but she told us that it were the noises off a working farm… It really spoiled our holiday and stay. We won’t recommend the stay.
