The impression is that they are very generous hosts, with a substantial welcome pack, a fire ready to light and plenty of logs. The bed was very comfy and we both slept better than we ever have in any other holiday cottage. We loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the shower was very powerful. The view from the living room was beautiful and the position of the cottage was excellent; a perfect base to explore the Highlands. All in all it was a lovely cottage and we had a fantastic holiday.

John and Shirley were amazing hosts who went above and beyond in their thoughtfulness and kindness. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every single detail had been carefully considered to create a truly exceptional experience. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and equipped with every imaginable comfort and more— nothing had been overlooked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it feel instantly like home. Set in the most beautiful, peaceful and picturesque location, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. We cannot recommend Laxdale highly enough. We left feeling rested and grateful. We look forward to returning in the future.
