Guests say

Robin Cottage in Pickering is praised for its comfort, central location, and thoughtful touches like welcome biscuits and milk. While some guests encountered issues with maintenance and cleanliness, the property's charm and proximity to local attractions are consistently appreciated.

Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. One reported finding mould and dust, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

The cottage's location is highly regarded, being central to Pickering and close to amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the town and surrounding attractions.

The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy beds and a spacious setting for smaller groups, contributing to a pleasant stay.

While the property is generally well-equipped, the lack of a working main oven and difficulty with operating the existing oven have been noted. Without more reviews, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive score for facilities and maintenance.

Guests appreciate the basic household items and welcome treats provided. However, as these are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a delightful bonus rather than a standard expectation.

Location near centre of town and NYMR was hugely appealing. Hope to return in the not too distant future.

Robin Cottage is well located in the centre of Pickering but on a quiet street so we were not disturbed at night. We enjoyed visiting the town (church and castle) and the surrounding area as well as going on the train to Whitby. Although (as stated) we could not park directly outside the house apart from unloading, we did manage to find parking close by.

Parking was not on site but nearby street parking wasn't a problem for us. Nice to have the basic household items supplied and the welcome biscuits and milk. Only a few issues for us and that was working out how the oven worked, as the manual wasn't available, there was no two pin plug to charge toothbrushes or a steamer pan. I'd recommend taking an eye mask for sleeping if you are sensitive to morning light; the bedrooms would benefit from black out blinds. Overall though, excellent accommodation in a great location for the North Yorkshire Moors, Cleveland Way and the East Coast. Hope to stay again when next back in Yorkshire.
