A sumptuous, well-located wooden lodge sat in the delightful North Yorkshire village of Gargrave. Perfect for friends and family to come and stay, Woodpecker comes with excellent facilities and superb views of the nearby River Aire. There is a wonderful open plan living area comprising of a well-appointed and modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, as well as a dining table and a cosy sitting area with a wall-mounted TV. Get a great nights' sleep with the bedrooms in this lodge, they have comfortable beds and stylish bed linen, one of them have classy en-suite shower room to make you feel right at home. Woodpecker also offers an exquisite family bathroom with contemporary tiling. The sitting area provides bi-folding doors which reveal an excellent decking with plenty of furniture to sit out and enjoy a drink whilst appreciating the views. This property is lovely and warm in the winter, and the bathroom has the extra addition of under floor heating. Gargave is a great place for a holiday with wonderful scenery and a fine selection of shops as well as places to eat and drink. The sublime market town of Skipton is nearby, offering fantastic facilities. For you outdoor enthusiasts, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is easy accessible if you are after walking, cycling and wildlife spotting opportunities. Woodpecker is a brilliant lodge in a lovely countryside location.

Gargrave is a pretty village around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Four miles away is the ancient market town of Skipton with its historic castle and High Street. On the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is an ideal centre for walking, cycling and touring.

Lovely small site, the only downside for us was you are close to the lodge behind, so if the neighbours are noisy you do hear it, and sadly we got woken up very early most mornings to vehicle noise, one day it was literally being driven backwards & forwards outside the back bedroom window (partner concluded trying to attach to something to tow?) radios playing etc, sometimes before 7am bit early when weâre on holiday! Would consider staying again, but would use the front bedroom.

Very peaceful. Immaculate inside. Very comfortable beds and perfect for our needs. Loved watching the wildlife on the riverbank, especially the kingfisher. We had a lovely week, will definitely be booking again and would recommend this lodge to anyone thinking about booking it. Only thing I would suggest is maybe some small signage on roadside to help locate Milton Park (we drove past a few times till we actually saw it!
