Guests say

The property boasts a superb location near a beautiful beach, with several guests praising the scenic surroundings and proximity to local amenities. While some guests enjoyed their stay and highlighted the property's spaciousness and potential, others noted areas needing improvement, particularly in cleanliness and maintenance.

Cleanliness has been a concern for several reviewers, with reports of mustiness, dust, and unclean bathrooms. However, some guests found the property clean upon arrival, indicating inconsistency in this area.

The location is highly praised for its closeness to the beach and local facilities, with many guests finding it ideal for family holidays and appreciating the natural beauty of the area.

Comfort received mixed feedback. Some guests found the property spacious and comfortable, while others were dissatisfied with the beds and lack of window coverings, affecting their sleep quality.

Facilities and maintenance issues were frequently mentioned, including non-working showers, lack of kitchen equipment, and the need for general repairs, suggesting that the property would benefit from attention to these details.

There is insufficient information to accurately score thoughtfulness. While a couple of reviews mentioned a welcoming gift, it is not a consistent theme across the reviews, and as such, gifts should not be expected.

This charming house is perfect for family and friends to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by breathtaking scenery situated by the sultry mount Slievemore. Tastefully furnished with both comfort and convenience in mind, the house has four lovely bedrooms spread over two floors. Downstairs you will find a well-equipped open plan living area with a kitchen, perfect for whipping up a tasty breakfast to prepare you for a day of exploring, a dining area with enough room to seat six for a celebratory meal and a sitting area with a warming open fire, ideal for curling up with a good book and a mug of hot cocoa in the chillier months. Alternatively, for a more leisurely pursuit there’s plenty of tranquil fishing sports further inland and a fine selection of pubs and cafes in which to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. For a true adventure, experience the stunning scenery as you drive to the mainland and visit the bustling town of Westport. Walk down the streets of this town steeped in culture and be tempted into one of the fantastic pubs by the traditional Irish music being played within. A great house in a beautiful location, ideal for an Irish adventure you’ll never forget.

At 57 square miles, Achill is the largest island of Ireland, and lies off the west coast, in County Mayo. Right next to the beach, with bar, shop, and restaurant all nearby. Plenty of room in the living area. Great for games and movies if it's a wet day. Lovely host who was kind and checked in with us. We will come back for sure.

We have rented house for several years. Location fab, cleanliness is OK. The inside of dishwasher falls forward out of dishwasher on a full load. Extractor does not work. Beds are poor, creaky and loose and propped up by a box in the upstairs unsuite room.House would benefit from having a hoover, mop etc available and empty bins. Some invesstment in maintenance and general comfort would greatly improve customer experience. We love the location and the space in the house.it has lots of potential. It suits a family and can easily accommodate 8 people. The beach is a five minute walk as is the hotel and local shop. Achill is beautiful and the reason we come back every year.
