A delightful detached cottage located in a peaceful position, close to the village of Ballyconneely, County Galway. With three cosy bedrooms, this Ballyconneely cottage also provides a wonderful open plan living area conducive to spending time together, maybe in front of the roaring stove which creates an inviting atmosphere like no other! This Ballyconneely cottage benefits from a large garden to the front and rear, so theres plenty of room to play with the children or dog in the summer sun. Located on a picturesque peninsula, its just a short walk to a spectacular and secluded beach with crystal clear waters and unspoilt sand. There are also many more examples of untouched sands in this locality, and a relaxing stroll under the stars with just the sound of the sea for company is a truly magical experience. Golfers will adore this Ballyconneely cottage with the renowned championship Connemara links course just two miles away. The market town of Clifden is just a short drive away and features a wide variety of boutique shops and quality restaurants and pubs that regularly feature live traditional Irish music! This Ballyconneely cottage lies on the edge of the Connemara National Park with its trademark rounded peaks and sweeping valleys. With many hiking and cycling routes through this breathtaking landscape, holidaymakers will be left with many unforgettable experiences. You can also try your hand at horse riding, watersports and fishermen are spoilt for choice with many loughs and rivers in the area. The tiny hamlet of Ballyconneely has played witness to significant achievements in history. In 1919 Alcock and Brown landed just two miles away after completing the first ever transatlantic flight. The landing was close to the Marconi Wireless station, itself used to send the first transmission across the Atlantic in 1907. Nowadays, the peaceful location is renowned for the annual pony show and its proximity to the famous Connemara links championship golf course. Close to the vibrant town of Clifden and the spectacular Connemara National Park, this is a superb holiday destination.
