The Owl's Hoot is a large, well-equipped cottage in a peaceful, rural setting with abundant birdlife, offering a good base for exploring County Wexford. Guests find the beds very comfortable and the space outside great for kids to play. However, some discomfort was noted due to a stuffy upstairs bedroom and issues with shower facilities.
The property is well-equipped with essential appliances and offers great outdoor space. Points were deducted for reported maintenance issues such as leaks, problematic showers, and poor Wi-Fi.

This detached barn conversion is resting in the village of Tacumshane. Contemporary and inviting, there is a refreshing feel to this retreat and families will enjoy the spacious layout. Wander in through the lovely entrance where an open plan sitting area is ready to greet you, with mismatched couches, and a charming wood burner. The light and airy presence of this room creates a soothing place to relax at night time. A stylish kitchen is well presented and carries an almost country theme for a homely effect. Once you have prepared your favourite meals, the nearby dining area is ideal for sitting down and enjoying the peace and quiet. Further round, a twin bedroom hosts lovely stone walls, then for an added effect, views look out over the shared lawned garden. A perfect backdrop on a sunny day. Wander up the stairs, and a double bedroom awaits, with a hint of glamour, tied together with a wardrobe and peaceful scenery. Close by, a bathroom contains a bath and shower, with everything you need to get ready for the day ahead. If this isn't enough, a second double bedroom is a signature part of this layout, adjoined to a classic en-suite; leading out to a wonderful decked area, so you can literally step into the sunshine. Stroll into the village of Tacumshane when you get the chance, with its fishing and birdwatching opportunities, as well as beaches in easy reach. The county town of Wexford is under 10 miles away, and boasts plenty of amenities including shops, bars and good restaurants. This is an elegant cottage in a desirable location. Note: This house can be rented with Sanderling Lodge (962010) and Swallow's Nest (962013) allowing a party of 18 to enjoy.
The village of Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant and much more to offer. Tacumshane Lake is great for anglers and birdwatchers, with a selection of golf courses, and coastal walking paths in easy reach. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles down the road, and there are beaches close by. The county town of Wexford is under 10 miles away.
