Lisdoonvarna 3 miles. An outstanding County Clare cottage, close to the coast outside the Burren town of Lisdoonvarna and 3.5 miles from Doolin. Beautifully finished throughout, this cottage makes a fantastic base for family and friends to get together and explore the West Coast. Set all on the ground floor, the cottage boasts three comfortable bedrooms; two doubles and a twin, offering good flexibility. The open plan living area keeps everyone together while the meals are being prepared so no one will feel like they are missing out on the planning of next days activities. After dinner, put your feet up in front of the stove, log onto the WiFi and share your photos with those at home and let them see what they are missing out on. As the day draws to an end, take yourself outside and sit down with a well-earned drink and enjoy the summers breeze. Lisdoonvarna will tend to your basic needs with shops, pubs and restaurants for you to visit if you dont fancy cooking, so go ahead and take the night off and let someone else do the dishes. The surrounding area offers great scenery should you decide to go for a walk or cycle; in the shed you will find four bicycles left by the owner for you to make use of and enjoy. Or jump in the car and take yourself to Lahinch beach to look out over the Atlantic Ocean. While staying in the area you should be sure to check out the outstanding scenery and spectacular views at the Cliffs of Moher. This really is a brilliant cottage that should be booked without hesitation to avoid disappointment.

Seriously well equipped (could do with an oven-proof casserole though) and nicely decorated. Highly recommended for those who like holidays in a wild, remote spot with a cosy retreat to return to at the end of a bracing day-alternately just stay indoors in this brilliant cottage and admire the scenery through the kitchen window!

Dust, perhaps from the wood stove.

The finish and furnishings were all of a very good quality, and the beds very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the local wildlife while we were staying there! I would certainly recommend The Farmhouse to anyone who wants a peaceful and relaxing stay off the beaten track!
