Guests say

Guests consistently praise An Grianan for its peaceful, rural setting and welcoming hosts, Nora and Andrew. The cottage is appreciated for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. The working farm location adds charm, with some guests enjoying the fresh eggs and the opportunity to see farm activities. The property is ideal for those seeking a tranquil retreat with easy access to local attractions.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, though one review mentioned the need to clean up cobwebs and a blocked shower drain upon arrival. Overall, the cleanliness is highly regarded.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local towns and attractions. It is described as a peaceful rural retreat, ideal for exploring West Cork, though one review noted it was more isolated than expected.

Guests find the cottage to be a comfortable 'home from home', with cosy living spaces and comfortable beds. One review mentioned the living room furniture could be more comfortable, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, good WiFi, and en-suite bedrooms. However, some guests noted mobile coverage is limited and one had issues with the TV channels, which affects the score slightly.

While many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like fresh eggs and the warm welcome from the hosts, these gifts are personal gestures and not guaranteed amenities, hence the score cannot be quantified.

Beautiful area. Inchydoney beach and Rosscarbery must be visited. We were only there for 3 nights and were totally unfortunate with the weather. Torrential rain. But at least we had a very comfortable cottage to stay in.

  • Emma

It's central to most towns and the scenery is stunning. Hosts were very welcoming and the house was very cosy. Would definitely re-book. X

  • Theresa

We had mixed weather but as the house was comfortable that was no problem. We had three generations staying and everyone loved it
