Sanacciola is a stunning, modern home nestled in the Carovigno countryside. Enveloped by almond and olive trees and yet just 6km from the nearest town and 6.5km from the beach, this is a fantastic base for your Puglian escape.

This elegant home can sleep up to 10 guests; 6 in the main villa and a large  upstairs in a separate apartment, and a further 2 guests in an additional new annexe, making it ideal for a special trip with family or a group of friends. The inviting, sophisticated bedrooms are great for when you wish to unwind after a busy day, all bedrooms are en-suite and a number of them have terrace or veranda access. If some of your party wish for a little more privacy then the apartment with its own living space and kitchen would be perfect.

Downstairs in the main villa you will find a spacious open-plan room which is the heart of the home and a brilliant space for coming together in the evenings. Enjoy chatting on the sumptuous sofas or tuck into an Italian feast at the dining table. The home also has all of the modern conveniences you could need to make your stay even more comfortable, including Wi-Fi, underfloor heating, air-conditioning, satellite TVs and a fully-fitted kitchen.

The villa has some wonderful outdoor spaces where you can make the most of the temperate climate and rural views. In addition to the large, landscaped garden you will find 2 furnished terraces on the first floor. You will adore spending time in the gorgeous garden; taking a dip in the private pool, reading on the outdoor canopy beds or cooking on the barbecue.

When you need to pop to the shops, the nearest small town Carovigno is just 6km away by car. Carovigno is a lovely place to have nearby as there are is lots to see here as well as a wide selection of shops and restaurants. An ancient town which was conquered and settled by successive groups after the fall of the Roman Empire, Carovigno is packed with history! Make sure to visit the 15th century castle the Castello della Dentice which has been well-preserved, the medieval town gates and the ornate Church of Saint Anna which was owned by feudal lords.

When you wish to visit the beach, there are plenty dotted along the breath-taking Adriatic coast and the nearest Specchiolla is just 6.5km away. This beach has dazzling blue water and fine sand and is located close to the Torre Guaceto nature reserve where you can enjoy walks through the dunes while looking out for local protected animals and plants.

Additionally, nearby you can visit Ostuni which is 13km away, Brindisi which is 30km away and the enchanting Grotte di Montevicoli which is 25km away.

Set amongst olive and almond trees between the town of Ostuni and the Adriatic coast, Sanacciola is perfectly situated for exploring the best of Puglia.

With beautiful weather and so much open space, you will wish to spend plenty of time outdoors in nature. Nearby you can visit the dunes, marshes and rocky coastline of Torre Guaceto nature reserve, go horse riding through the hills, visit a range of incredible beaches and go wine tasting all under 10km away! Plus, if you have any keen golfers with you then make sure to visit the superb Savelletri golf courses which are 30km from the villa.

Another natural attraction which is well worth the 63km drive is Grotte di Castellana. This stunning 90-million-year-old cave system is a must see, it covers over 3000 metres and is filled with fossils, stalactites, stalagmites and magical rock formations. You can explore the caves safely with knowledgeable guides.

When you wish to visit a historic town or village, you will be spoilt for choice as there are so many in this area. The nearest town to the villa is a small historic town called Carovigno which is just 6km away. Settled since pre-Roman times, the town is filled with interesting architecture and buildings from a number of different eras. The castle which dominates the landscape is a great place to start, you can explore at your own pace or take a guided tour if you would like.

Additionally, the town has a cathedral, medieval arches and palm lined piazzas to wander around. Carovigno is also known as the town of flags so you may stumble across performances or parades of locals in costumes waving colourful flags, this religious practice has been going on in the area for 1000 years in devotion to Madonna del Belvedere. A few kms from town you can also visit a sanctuary in a cave also dedicated to her, a hidden gem with much revered fresco paintings of the Virgin Mary.

Just 13km from the villa you can visit the city of Ostuni, one of Italy’s most beautiful places. This awe-inspiring white-washed city is incredible to see as you approach it and is just as picturesque when exploring the winding streets on foot. The historic walls wrap around the old town and contain plenty of bars, restaurants and pretty churches including the amazing Gothic cathedral which is the star attraction. Further attractions include a brilliant archaeological park, the civic museum and medieval gateways. Taking a guided walking tour is a good way to see everything and learn more about the area.

Also within easy reach you can discover Brindisi which is 30km away, Alberobello which is 57km away and Polignano a Mare which is 58km away.
