La Zagaleta is around a 30-minute drive from Marbella – known by some as Southern Spain's answer to St. Tropez and a well-established playground for the rich, famous, and undeniably glamorous. Here you will find an array of high-end boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants, excellent nightlife, and beautiful beaches dotted with trendy cafes where the order of the day is celeb-spotting.
Of course, there is also the large marina at Puerto Banus, one of the world's best-known luxury ports that houses a sprawling selection of glittering mega-yachts. Spend an afternoon strolling through the marina before finding the perfect spot to sip a sundowner as the European jet-set gather on their yachts for another evening of champagne-doused hedonism. Then there is the traditional 'old town' of Marbella, which retains an authentic Spanish charm and is filled with cobbled streets lined by a vast array of restaurants serving some of the best tapas on the Costa del Sol.
