Guests say

The Chapel in Cumbria is highly praised for its stunning setting, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the friendly host and the property's suitability for dogs, with a secure garden and nearby dog-friendly beaches. The location is ideal for walking and relaxing, offering peace and quiet as well as proximity to the sea. While some guests found the property's rural setting and working farm environment less appealing, the majority relished the tranquility and natural beauty.

Guests consistently report that The Chapel is immaculately clean, with several reviews specifically mentioning the high standard of cleanliness. One review noted the property was not as clean as other cottages they've stayed in, but still considered it to be of a very good standard.

The location is frequently described as peaceful with great views and proximity to the sea, ideal for walks and relaxation. However, a few guests felt the location was too rural or not as secluded as expected, which slightly impacts the overall score.

Many reviews highlight the comfort of The Chapel, mentioning it as warm, cosy, and well-maintained. The property is noted for being comfortable and relaxing, contributing to a positive experience for guests.

Facilities and maintenance are generally praised, with guests satisfied with the amenities provided. However, there are comments about the garden being unkempt and the stairs potentially unsafe due to the lack of a handrail, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.

While the reviews reflect a thoughtful and welcoming host, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

Simply delightful. Great setting, great views, charming ducks & chickens, dogs & horse. Still laughing at the call ducks barrelling about! & fabulous walks up the local fell, or Black Combe, or our favourite Silecroft Beach & all just minutes away - with the great new Silecroft Beach Cafe an extra bonus. Owner Louise so friendly & helpful, accommodation so comfortable - we’ll be back!
