Kemble is a charming village and civil parish in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, sitting on the fringes of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village hosts a good selection of attractions and amenities worth exploring, with its church having a Norman door and a tower dating from 1250 being particularly interesting. Alongside its historical delights and stunning scenery, you can find amenities such as a Post Office with store, an inviting pub, perfectly situated next to the train station for after a day of exploring the surrounding wonders of the Cotswolds and beyond. Kemble was once an important railway junction; however, it now offers access to Swindon and London Paddington, as well as westbound services to Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa letting you explore the very best of the area. The Cotswold Airport can be found on the edge of the village, previously hosting the RAF Red Arrows aerobatic display team, the airfield is now used by light industry, flying clubs and by private aircraft owners, as well as boasting events including two annual air displays, well worth seeing whilst in the area. Take a stroll around the local park, or delve into the depths of the Cotswolds aonb for a truly breath-taking experience. Home to nearly 800 square miles with ample opportunities to explore by foot, bike or horseback, there are so many wonders to be seen here from the two National Trails of the Cotswold Way and the start of the Thames Path, to nature like you've ever experienced, mixed with plenty of picturesque villages along the way too. Spend a day in Oxford observing its stunning architecture and university, with excellent museums, art exhibitions and much more, it provides the perfect cultural experience, while Swindon makes a great stop for a day of shopping with its famed designer outlet and selection of shopping centres. In reach of Cirencester, Bath, Stroud and so much more, there is plenty to see and do in and around Kemble.

The owner was very helpful. Nice touch on arrival whereby some essentials were in the property, bread, milk, jam, tea and coffee. There is a pub just next door which serves great food and has nice staff. Great location for visiting various places in the Cotswolds. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.
