About this property

Calcot Peak Barn is a wonderful barn conversion set in stunning Cotswold countryside, in the middle of a small Gloucestershire estate. Inside you will find a carefully crafted home with elegant detail including many period features such as oak beams, wood burning stove and exposed Cotswold stone. The property also offers superb facilities with modern appliances to make your stay a comfortable one. The cottage is remotely located, half a mile off the local country road along a small track and as a result enjoys unbelievable views and complete privacy. We feel that this cottage gives you a real taste of Cotswold tranquility - simply stunning and you will want to return!

Bibury, Gloucestershire is a short drive away from Northleach. It is an excellent place to travel from if you're looking to visit the popular towns of Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold. Northleach was at one time an important market town, celebrated throughout Europe as a major centre for the Cotswold wool trade! The fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, paid for by the wealthy wool merchants, was built with stone dug from the quarry in the town itself and what is now the Market Square.

No light pollution, ideal for stargazing! It is a working farm, wheat fields were harvested while I was there, but it wasn't long or too noisy. Lots of hares, kites, what I think were pheasants, and other wildlife. Saw a deer and bats were flying around the cottage in the evening. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen really has everything you need. I loved the bedrooms on the mezzanine floors.

Perfect for us, a family of four. Great location for touring the Cotswolds. Lots of wildlife and lots of peace and quiet, absolutely wonderful!

It was isolated but we loved it for that reason. There was abundant wildlife all around and opportunities to go for walks right from the door. Calcot Peak Barn was warm and cosy and well-equipped and if we'd needed any help, Stuart was just at the end of the phone. Highly recommended!
