… in a sheltered cup in the moor (trees, stream) beside an almost traffic-free lane (moorland ponies use it more than cars), 1½ miles from Widecombe and 3 from Dartmeet, two cottages attached to the friendly owners’ farmhouse. You are welcome on the 47 acre farm (cows, horses, poultry), and the Two Moors Way footpath passes by, leading in ¼ mile to the West Webburn River. You can follow it to Buckfastleigh, or even to Exmoor. Pony-trekking locally. Shared barn with washing machines, tumble drier, table tennis. Spring water.
Dashel Cottage (arrow 1 above) is end-of-row with its own paved patio and small enclosed garden at the back. Inside it is on three levels, all comfortably furnished. On the ground floor, living/dining/fitted kitchen (slimline dishwasher, microwave) with French windows to patio, oak floor, large fireplace (woodburner - logs included) and TV/DVD/video. Stairs (stairgates) up to first floor with a double bedroom (5' bed, limited clothes-hanging space) and bathroom (suite plus hand-shower); more stairs up into a twin bedroom (6’ beam and some sloping ceilings, limited clothes-hanging space, small double futon for alternative sleeping).
