Cedar Street Cottage in Chesterfield offers a comfortable stay with its well-furnished kitchen, cosy beds, and a peaceful garden. The conservatory is a highlight, providing a lovely space to relax. Guests appreciate the quiet location and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. While some guests mention issues with cleanliness and maintenance, these are balanced by positive experiences and the owner's responsiveness.

Guests have raised concerns about the presence of dog hair and odours, suggesting a need for deeper cleaning, particularly of the carpets and sofas. However, several reviews describe the property as clean and comfortable, indicating that experiences vary.

The property is appreciated for its quiet and peaceful area, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and public transport. It serves as a good base for exploring nearby attractions, although one review suggests it is not in a quaint village as some might expect.

Many guests find the beds comfortable and the house warm, with a well-equipped kitchen contributing to a pleasant stay. The conservatory is frequently mentioned as a comfortable spot. However, steep stairs and the need for sofa cleaning are noted.

The property is generally well-equipped, with a good-sized kitchen and garden. Some guests mention a lack of certain kitchen utensils and bakeware, as well as the need for minor maintenance. The Wi-Fi signal strength is a concern for some.

While several reviews mention a welcome basket, which is a thoughtful touch, there is not enough information to assess the consistency or quality of these gifts across all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will be provided.

Everything you need. Maybe an extra bin bag would be useful. We really enjoyed sitting in the conservatory especially as the weather was a bit hit and miss. The village has a shop right opposite the property, also a Chinese, Indian and pizza/kebab shop 5 minutes walk away. The canal toe path is about 10 minutes away on foot and is an enjoyable walk in both directions to Chesterfield or Staverly. We will definitely return. Ignore previous negative reviews these are completely unjustified.

Good location with Chesterfield Canal easily in reach. Only observation is the accuracy of Hollingwood being a quaint village. This house is very comfortable, but you aren't staying in a characterful village, more the middle of a housing estate. Go expecting that and it's great.
