The cottage is immaculate, tastefully decorated, well-equipped and very comfortably hosted our family of four for a week. There was a generous welcome pack left by the owner which was appreciated. Great to have an easily accessible parking space, bike store and the garden area opposite (although we didn't use this). It is in Cromford with a general store, pubs, two chippies, restaurants and a bookshop within a 5 minute walk, plus Cromford Mill and its fascinating history. There are also loads of walks you can do from the cottage into the countryside. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

It is well located and a fantasic base to explore the wider peak district. The village is cute with a couple of pubs and cafes. Scarthin Books is a lovely book shop, with cafe on 2nd floor and is worth a visit for lunch. Cromford Mills is also lovely and the walk along the canal was beautiful. The cottage is spacious and homely and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The small garden opposite was also lovely. The owners (located next door) were really nice and greeted us on arrival and on check out to make sure everything had been OK with our stay. We will definitely stay again.
