A quaint, romantic retreat perfectly placed to explore the best of the Peak District.

Little Hillside is a perfectly proportioned romantic retreat for two set on the hillside above the picturesque village of Ashover which is a proper village with a farm shop, café/post office, village hall, church and three great pubs. Situated in the lovely Amber Valley it has lovely countryside all around.

Ashover lies between Chesterfield and the county town of Matlock and is an ideal base from which to explore all the Peak District and Derbyshire attractions. Places like Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Castleton and the Derwent Valley Dams are all with easy reach.

Size: Sleeps 2 in 1 bedroom

Beds: 1 king size bed (can be 2'6" twin bed if preferred)

Nearest amenities: 1 mile

Short breaks: Accepted all year round

Smoking: Not allowed at this property.

Rooms: lounge/diner, kitchen, 1 bedroom, bathroom with hand-held shower over the bath.

Utilities: Gas hob and electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer box, washing machine, kettle & toaster.

Outside: Love seat in courtyard-style setting to the front of the property. Tiny enclosed yard outside the back door to let the dog out if necessary.

One small-medium dog is welcome; excellent local walking nearby.

Parking: Parking available for one small car.

General: WiFi, linen and towels are provided.  Central heating and other power is included.

    Cottage was really nice and comfortable was able to park my large truck off the road the hill was a bit of a killer but all in all very good

    Lovely little cozy cottage with everything you could possibly need. Well located for the village too and lovely views. Very clean and dog friendly and Pam the owner is the most welcoming friendly lady and always on hand to help if you need it. Would definitely recommend.
