Guests say

Lavender Cottage is consistently praised for its cleanliness, well-equipped nature, and peaceful village setting. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, quality fixtures, and the cottage's cosy atmosphere. While some guests mention issues with comfort for back sufferers and the shower, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests frequently commend the cottage for its exceptional cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained, which indicates a high standard of hygiene.

The cottage is appreciated for its quiet, peaceful village location in the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales, with easy access to local amenities and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring.

Comfort is generally rated highly, with mentions of cosy spaces and comfortable beds. However, some guests note issues with soft mattresses and seating, which suggests room for improvement in this area.

The cottage is well-equipped, but there are mixed reviews regarding maintenance issues like the shower and TV signal. Some guests also mention a lack of storage space and kitchenware, indicating that while facilities are good, there is potential for enhancement.

Several reviews mention thoughtful touches such as handmade lavender candles and the provision of entertainment options. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

Lovely comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend.

It was a nicely presented, cozy, cottage in a quiet village with all the facilities we needed. Wi-Fi was good for me to work during the day and the location was ideal for easy access to Nottingham and the surrounding area. There was a convenient allocated parking space about 20m away and the owners were helpful and responsive.

Lavender cottage had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed spending time sitting in the garden, and also the summer room. The location was perfect, lovely quiet countryside but lots to do in the local area. We would not hesitate to return
