Later, venture into the fully-equipped kitchen/diner to rustle up delicious meals before heading outside to dine alfresco on the spacious patio, the perfect place to watch as the stars fill the sky above. Enjoy a late night soak in the hot tub, a welcomed luxury after a long day of exploring your surroundings on foot, and where you can round off your day in style. When the evening draws to a close, head back inside to wash off the day’s adventures in either the ground-floor shower room or the bathroom on the first floor. Be sure to catch up on some rest before embarking on your next adventure; choose between a ground-floor king-size, a king-size or double on the first floor and a second-floor twin. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic dwelling, venture into the local town where you can stock up on the essentials at the local stores, before refuelling with some tasty grub at The Beck or Cedars Bar and Restaurant. Take a leisurely stroll down to the golden shores of Mablethorpe Beach, the perfect place to enjoy sunny days, splashing around in the sea or simply admiring the breath-taking views. The lovely Queen’s Park resides only a short distance away and features a miniature railway and boating lake, ideal for a family picnic. Alternatively, follow the coast to reach The Sea Sanctuary Wildlife Centre or the North Sea Observatory, in addition to Donna Nook where you can amble around the nature reserve; if you’re lucky you might even spot the seals that reside here! Oham Lakes is also nearby, offering further picturesque vistas with three wonderful fishing pools to fish from, a haven for avid anglers; a tackle shop and cafe are also on-site. History is also woven throughout the surrounding countryside, head to the ruins of Bolingbroke Castle and the National Trust site of Gunby Hall or venture into the historic and thriving city of Lincoln to tour its cathedral and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life. With the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB also within accessible distance, boasting a variety of walking, hiking and cycling trails for all ages and abilities, you’ll rarely be short of outdoor opportunities. Lincolnshire is home to the quaint coastal village of Mablethorpe. You can take in the sea air while strolling along the town's sandy beach and dune system. There are a few chain stores and a wide variety of locally owned boutiques, cafes, and restaurants in Mablethorpe. In town, you can visit the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and hang out with seals and other tame creatures. Skegness, an old-school coastal resort just a few miles down the coast, is home to many kid- and family-friendly activities. Instead, you could travel inland to the town of Louth, which is home to Georgian streets lined with Grade II listed buildings, St. James Church, a theatre, an art deco cinema, a museum, a golf course, a modern leisure centre complex, excellent shopping (including market days every week), and a wide variety of eateries to suit any palate. An ideal location from which to explore the scenic countryside and coastline of Lincolnshire.
