Folkingham is a charming village in Lincolnshire lying between Grantham, Sleaford and Spalding. The village dates all the way back to the Domesday Book of 1086 but was likely established in the 6th century as an Anglo-saxon settlement. The village was previously home to the impressive Folkingham Castle, although the ruins do not remain, the site of them can still be visited. Today the village is home to a local store where visitors can stock up on all of their self-catering essentials and a The New Inn pub. The nearby market town of Grantham is home to the National Trust’s Belton House, a grand 17th-century home with orangery and extensive grounds which you can roam; if you’re lucky you may even spot the resident deer! Alternatively head north to Sleaford which houses the Cogglesford Watermill museum, Navigation House Visitor Centre and the Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum. The village is also encapsulated by the wonderful English countryside where guests can admire rolling fields or visit the Colsterworth Nature Trail or Pickworth Great Wood to experience the great outdoors. Explore all of this and more from Folkingham!

Everything you need is in this amazing little cottage. A welcome pack is left by the owners that is beyond anything we've had before. We will definitely come stay again when we need a weekend away to just relax .

Located in the small Hamlet of Little Humby near Grantham it provided a base for exploring both locally and further afield. The cottage was clean and very comfortable and provided a Home from Home environment for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, John & Marion and thank them for their personal approach. Highly recommended Many thanks A*****

The owners are very friendly, welcoming and not at all obtrusive considering they live nearby. The cottage was lovely and warm for October and the welcome pack was amazing! Greatly appreciated. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Less than half an hour stroll to a great pub. A great little break in a gem of a cottage and highly recommended.
