This is a perfect romantic retreat from which to explore this lovely part of the country. This attractive cottage has an open plan living area with whitewashed wooden floor boards, a modern well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and cosy leather sofa in the sitting area where youll also find a large LED, HD TV to relax in front of after a busy day exploring the area. A contemporary wet room is also located on the ground floor. Climb the wrought iron spiral staircase to the first floor bedroom offering a sumptuous double bed, TV, DAB bedside clock radio with iPod dock and lovely views. To the front of the cottage is an enclosed decked area with furniture, ideal for a refreshing drink, especially with the wine cooler to hand, or for relaxing in the luxurious hot tub after a day exploring the area. Walks to the Forest of Dean can be enjoyed from the doorstep, or why not take a stroll to the village of Blakeney to enjoy a drink in the village pub or sample a treat of local fish and chips? The ancient village of Blakeney lies on the southeast edge of the Royal Forest of Dean and was once a site of a Roman Villa dating back to 75AD. Equidistant to Gloucester and Monmouth, the village boasts many 16th and 17th century buildings, with a charming 16th century coaching inn, and also offers a good selection of amenities including a fish and chip shop, village store and Post Office, as well as numerous walks and cycle routes.
