Little Hallgarth, is a pretty, two-bedroom cottage within easy walking distance of the bustling market town of Keswick. The cottage has been lovingly and skilfully refurbished by the owners, who continually strive to make their guest’s stay as perfect as possible. Ideal for a family or two couples.
Leave your outdoor gear in the hallway and step into your delightful open plan lounge and dining area with attractive living flame gas fire in feature surround and pleasant views over the garden. Find your fully fitted and well-equipped shaker style kitchen in cream and your elegant glass dining table with decorative metal chairs placed nearby. Step through the glass door here and walk out onto the garden to listen to the soothing sound of the river nearby. Climb the stairs to find two pretty bedrooms: a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, both with views over the garden. The family power shower room is decorated in a retro baroque style. The whole house has been tastefully decorated with colours accented by the soft furnishings.
Keswick offers, specialist shops, excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs, market days twice a week, a renowned theatre, well-loved cinema and much more. Walk from the centre of Keswick, through Hope Park to the shore of beautiful Derwentwater, have a bite to eat at the Theatre by the Lake’s café, then enjoy a scenic cruise. You will have a choice of many walking trails right from your doorstep, from low-level circular walks to more adventurous hikes up to glorious high peaks. Walk up to lovely Catbells, Skiddaw or Latrigg, known as Keswick’s own fell.
The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.

Couple of minor points:- Some instructions for the heating would be nice Towel rail in the bathroom didn't appear to be working The hot water in the wash basin only comes out in trickle

House was clean, airy, yet cosy and a good size. Great to have the garden too with having the dog with us. Location was good too. Quiet and only a 10 min walk into into centre of town. We would happily return here.
