This traditional farm cottage is located on a working hill farm on the border of the Lake District in an area of peace and tranquility. There is an abundance of high and low level walks right from the door and within a short drive is Coniston Water, Lake Windermere and Morecambe Bay.

In a quieter part of the Lake District, Ulpha sits on the border of the Lake District National Park and at the southern tip of the Furness Fells. The location is perfect for those who wish to explore the southern Lakes, Morecambe Bay and have easy access to Coniston Water and Lake Windermere but do not wish to be amongst the ‘madding crowds’ the Lake District is famous for. There are many attractions within a short drive for the whole family ranging from historic houses and gardens, zoo, ferry rides, aquarium and steam train rides, or simply pack a picnic and spend a day at the beach.
High Wallabarrow is a traditional hill farm located at the end of a no through road with only footpaths and bridleways beyond. The cottage has walking from the door including low level river and woodland walks to fell walks including Wallabarrow Crag where the cottage is nestled into the lower slopes. Wonder through Wallabarrow Woods and cross the River Duddon and enjoy a real ale and good food in the 16th century Newfield Inn. The cottage is ideal for families looking for a retreat away from it all, meet the animals, relax in the garden or explore the local area.
The cottage is centrally heated and comprises:
Lounge with Freesat TV, DVD player, futon sofa bed and stable door with views over the beck and shared garden to the fells beyond.
Dining/kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and microwave.
Bedroom with three quarter bed suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.
Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
First floor: Family bedroom with king size and single bed
All electric and bed linen included.

Ample off road parking.
Shared garden with garden furniture.
Please note as this is a working farm, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
