Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it clean and well-presented, while others noted issues with cobwebs, mildew, and a dirty freezer compartment. The majority, however, did not raise cleanliness as a concern, suggesting satisfactory standards for most.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions, including walking paths and a nearby pub. Its setting on a working farm adds to the rural charm, contributing to a peaceful and enjoyable experience.

Comfort is generally well-received, with guests finding the cottage warm, cosy, and snug. Comfortable beds and a spacious living area are noted, although some guests mentioned issues with shower temperature control and the property being overly warm upstairs.

Facilities are adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, several guests reported maintenance issues such as a non-draining shower, loose fixtures, and a small TV. Wi-Fi availability and signal strength were also concerns for some visitors.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on the available information.

As per the listing everything stated was available and adequate for my needs and my trusty canine companion. YES the upstairs was very warm especially since no windows in the property can be opened..but they have purchased a fan which was good enough for me and my dog to keep cool. YES the tv is far too small for the size of the room (but I didnt go to the lakes to watch tv). YES there is no wifi that I was aware of, but these days most people have unlimited data with 4 or 5g (my data worked fine upstairs but patchy in bedroom). The place is just on the doorstep to many fantastic walks with amazing views and only 25mins away from scarfell pike.Overall I enjoyed my stay it was very peaceful and tranquil. If I am ever back this side of the Lakes to stay I will be looking to re-book here.

I’m not scared of spiders but there was a huge amount of them and spider webs. Cottage smelt quite damp smelling. No wi-fi which is very unusual. I did like the location being on a farm and very quiet.

The pictures really don’t do justice how beautiful it is. We had a wonderful week away, the property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was the perfect base to explore the surrounding areas. The owner is super friendly and communicated so well. We’d love to come back in the future.
