Set out on foot from the property towards Skiddaw and Blencathra. Skiddaw Summit is England s fourth highest mountain and offers fabulous panoramic views. Treat yourself to a meal in the local pub which is only 0.5 miles away. The market town of Keswick has a great selection of eateries and rainy day activities. Head to Whinlatter Forest (9 miles) where you can ride along a host of tracks and trails, there s a high ropes course, cafe and outdoor play area. Or, for a day of indulgence, enjoy a spa treatment at Armathwaite Hall, less than 1 mile away. As you approach this attractive converted barn you will find the covered entrance with floor to ceiling windows providing a bright and spacious hallway. To the right of the entrance, you will find a handy WC, a utility room, and a well equipped kitchen that has an island and breakfast bar. The formal dining room leads off the kitchen, this room has views of Bassenthwaite in the distance and offers a great space to sit down as a party and catch up on the day s events.
