About this property

The front door opens to the hallway and as you step through the door the original Victorian features become apparent but are complemented by the modern presentation of this traditional property. The living room has a large bay window and comfortable sofas are arranged around the TV and fireplace. The dining room is presented with a large family dining table and patio doors open from here to the patio at the rear of the house. The spacious kitchen is well appointed and the breakfast bar makes this a more social space. To the side is the utility too with laundry facilities. To the rear there is a paved patio area with outdoor dining furniture and a lockable store ideal for mountain bikes and outdoor gear.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. The house is perfectly situated for easy access to Keswick allowing you to explore this lovely Lakeland town and the area as a whole. Numerous long walks and hikes from your doorstep in order to keep the active members of your group happy. The accommodation was spacious, clean and well presented with no issues whatsoever throughout the week. Excellent communication from Sykes from start to finish.

It was unacceptable however to rent a property with a known issue in the dining room. The smell meant we could not use that room and had to balance plates on our knees whilst sat in the kitchen. For the price this is unacceptable. The cleaner placed a plug in to mask the smell but that did not work. Following communication it is clear you are aware of the issue as you attempted to shampoo and clean the curtains. The issue still is present. I would request some financial reimbursement for the lack of a suitable eating area.
