This magnificent, detached property sits in an elevated position above Keswick, affording stunning views from the roof terrace to the beautiful mountain range and Bassenthwaite Lake in the distance. Cloud End is a wonderful base for families and groups of friends to come together and explore this delightful location, situated just a mile and a half from Keswick town centre, before returning to the comfort of this home each evening. Head to the open-plan living space where you will discover the main feature of the area - the Lakeland stone roof patio accessed by French doors, both offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and Bassenthwaite Lake in the distance. Allow the designated chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, utilising a range of appliances and worktop space, while the dining table is set for a hearty feast. Spend your down time in the lounge, curled up beside the gas fire as you flick through the TV for a favourite film, before whiling away to the bedrooms, split over two levels. A wooden staircase leads to the lower ground floor you will find two king-size bedrooms, both benefitting from en-suite facilities, with one of them offering French doors that lead on to a Lakeland stone patio area and the rear garden, as well as two additional twin rooms. When you’re ready to explore, stroll into the centre of Keswick and discover a thrilling selection of sights and attractions on offer, with fascinating exhibitions on display at Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, a fabulous 18-hole golf course and a handful of art galleries, there’s something to keep everyone busy. Take a night off from the kitchen and book a local restaurant or traditional country pub, or simply order in a takeaway – there’s plenty to choose from! Those keen walkers can tackle the heights of Scafell Pike, while more outdoor adventure can be enjoyed at Ullswater, England’s second largest lake, with wakesurfing and paddle boarding opportunities. Box off the attractions of the Lake District during your time at Cloud End.

Keswick is a year round destination with a wide variety of attractions on offer including, lake cruises on Derwentwater, live performances at the Theatre by the Lake, fine fell walking, lively street markets and an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. Hope Park is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit at any time of year it is only a five minute walk from the apartment, here you could enjoy a round of golf or keep the kids entertained with a crazy game of golf.

    Everything else was absolutely first class. A lovely property with great views just away from the bustle of the town. Excellent

    Rebooted nodes, all OK. Front door lock/key very difficult. No pint glasses(!). Some TV channels no signal.

    As discussed with Sykes the only problem was when all the electric sockets went off on the first evening, causing us problems as fridge and freezer were full, due to an online delivery. Maintenance arrived and managed to reset the electrics within a couple of hours. The same thing happened later in the week but I managed to reset the electrics. This has been reported to both Sykes Cottages and also Lakes Cottages in Keswick. Apart from this it was an excellent stay.
