Guests say

Driftwood Cottage in Keswick is praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and welcoming touches. Guests appreciate the proximity to local attractions and the spacious garden. While some mention the beds could be more comfortable and the kitchen better equipped, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

The majority of guests found Driftwood Cottage to be very clean, with only a few isolated comments about kitchen utensils not being thoroughly washed. The consistent mention of cleanliness suggests a high standard is typically maintained.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to Keswick centre and local walks, with many guests appreciating the short walk through Fitz Park. The scenic views and ease of access to the town's amenities contribute to a very positive perception of the cottage's location.

While the cottage is generally found to be comfortable and cosy, several guests have noted that the beds could be improved. The comfort of the mattresses was a recurring point of critique, suggesting that while the property is pleasant, there is room for improvement in this area.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped and homely. However, some guests feel that the kitchen could be better suited for family dining and that the quality of kitchenware could be enhanced. The presence of a garden and parking are positive aspects.

Guests have mentioned a welcome basket and a bottle of wine, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are not consistently referenced, it is clear that while appreciated, they may not be a standard offering for every stay.

The kitchen equipment we found was very basic/limited. The cooker was very dirty. The bed and mattress was not very comfortable and bedding very poor quality. The check out time of 9 o clock was very inconvenient and earlier than other properties we have stayed in to the point that we decided it was more practical to leave the day before.

Clean and well layed out property. Comfortable beds and good shower. Garden spacious, ideal for a bbq on a sunny day. It took a few attempts to identify the turn off to take the car around to the rear of the property. Maybe a simple diagram included with arrival info would help. Not to distract from the fact that Driftwood Cottage is the ideal place to stay on the very edge of Keswick.

Just one small comment regarding cooking (although we did not cook) there was no condiments or anything in the cupboards (as in salt pepper oil sugar tea bags coffee) . These could be provided at very little expense and would last months and enhance the feeling of being more homely and equipped.
