Guests say

Guests appreciate the cottage's prime location in Keswick, close to the town centre and park, with its quiet setting and secure front area. The property is well-equipped, offering a comfortable stay with good-sized bedrooms, efficient heating, and pleasant bathrooms. While some minor maintenance issues and cosmetic wear are noted, these do not detract from the overall positive experience. The property is seen as good value for a break in the Lake District.

The property is generally found to be clean, with one report of dirty plates quickly resolved. However, a mention of an old bath mat and some pet-induced wear slightly affects the score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the town centre, park, and quiet road, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

The property is considered comfortable, with firm beds and comfy furniture. However, the lounge area is noted to be compact, and some guests mention the property looking a bit tired.

Facilities are generally good, with well-provisioned kitchens and great showers. Points are deducted for maintenance issues like non-functioning lights, a dishwasher problem, and the need for some paintwork.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Beds great. Great location. Bath Matt in 1st bathroom was old and pink from dying in a wash. Bathrooms nice though. Some of the paintwork needs retouching up on window sills and woodwork. TV had a line down it. There were no logs to use for the fire. Although book said replace logs used? We bought some though and fire was nice. There are stains in the kitchen ceiling from the shower. I would say it’s a nice property and just needs a few bits sorting. We enjoyed our stay despite the above.

    Would definitely stay again.

A cafetière and some handwash in the bathrooms would make it perfect.
