Guests say

High Hill Farm Cottage in Keswick is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, the property's cleanliness, and the private outdoor seating area. While there are some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvement, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The property is generally regarded as clean, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. However, a few guests noted specific areas, such as the microwave and a rug, that could have been cleaner. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than a trend.

The location is highly praised for being close to the centre of Keswick and within walking distance to the lake, offering convenience and tranquillity. The presence of private parking is also appreciated, adding to the property's appeal.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with ample space, large bedrooms, and cosy seating areas. The beds are described as comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. The garden's furniture and the absence of a downstairs toilet were the only comfort-related concerns mentioned.

The cottage is well-equipped with a variety of kitchenware and has adequate bathrooms. Some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues like door locks and a lack of basic supplies such as dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls. Building works nearby were noted but did not significantly impact the stay.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency or quality of these gestures. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided for future guests.

It has a great location of just 5 minutes walk into Keswick. It is also central to a lot of walks. We did Walla, Catsbells, Lattig and Skiddaw. The cottage was very clean a spacious with all amenities you could ask for.

  • Margaret

Had everything required. The only thing we found would have been an asset would have been a downstairs toilet due to the fact we are all fairly old. LOL

  • Victoria

Would benefit from a downstairs WC but plenty upstairs to choose from. The main downside is the wifi which is poor, intermittent and only works in certain areas of the house.
