Guests say

Low Melbecks House in Keswick is a well-loved cottage, praised for its comfort, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests enjoy the idyllic surroundings, peacefulness, and the added bonus of a games room. While some maintenance issues are noted, the charm of the property and its location often bring visitors back.

The property generally receives positive remarks on cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and well-maintained upon arrival. However, there are isolated comments about a used tissue and a leak potentially causing dampness, slightly affecting the score.

The location is highly appreciated for its quietness, beautiful surroundings, and proximity to local attractions and walks. The remote nature is a plus for many, though it may not suit those looking for less seclusion.

Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, especially noting the quality of the linen and the presence of a wood burner. Some guests mention the beds being a bit hard and issues with a bathroom towel rail, which impacts the comfort score.

The facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen and games room, are appreciated. However, recurring maintenance issues such as a non-functional towel rail, leaking shower, and Wi-Fi problems have led to a lower score in this category.

While guests enjoy the amenities provided, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

The house is spacious, and even though there were 8 of us, and a baby) We all felt

There were 4 adults and 2 children staying so plenty of space. The house was spotless on arrival and well maintained. Nothing really to complain about. Odd issues such as lack of a cutlery drawer in the large kitchen was a bit strange and the shower in the bathroom downstairs was super hot, altering the temperature control made no difference. However, nothing that would take away giving it top marks.
