Number Twenty in Keswick is a well-received cottage, praised for its excellent location with convenient parking and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the en-suite bathrooms, spacious kitchen, and the property's suitability for large groups and families. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness is generally good, with some guests finding the property well-kept. However, there are a few mentions of specific cleanliness issues in certain rooms and with the en-suite facilities, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and within walking distance to Keswick's attractions. The added benefit of private parking is frequently mentioned as a significant advantage.
The property is considered comfortable by most guests, with good showers and a cosy atmosphere. Some guests mention the need for better mattresses and the presence of trip hazards, which slightly impacts the comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the en-suite bathrooms. However, maintenance issues like slow draining showers, heating problems, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues are noted, affecting the score.
There is insufficient information regarding the presence of gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so a score cannot be given in this category.
A traditional large Victorian Lakeland slate terraced house walking distance from Keswick town centre and all the pubs, bars and restaurants. Situated in the residential area, just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Keswick, Number Twenty is tastefully refurbished with ample parking for four cars, five en-suite bedrooms, two log burning stoves and a large patio. It offers comfortable and classic accommodation for a large family or friends getting together for a catch up. You’ll arrive into the small front garden and then into a large Victorian Hallway complete with original tiled floor, period features, coat hooks and boot rack. The two reception rooms now form one large dual aspect open plan lounge but can still be divided in order to make two smaller lounges each with its own TV and log burning stove. Perhaps separate adults and kids spaces ?! Please note we cannot accept bookings for Hen or Stag parties.

Kitchen fully equipped for our needs. Close to town. The parking spaces are a real plus. We will book again. Only issue was slow internet.

An en-suite for each bedroom and the parking spaces were a real bonus. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well-equipped. The house itself is in a great location. We would book again.
Alistair
Its exactly as the 'description on the tin' -comfortable, homely ,great location, excellent off street parking for four cars ! Its now so popular you need to be booking well in advance to get your preferred week the following year, as we have just found out! One small recommendation - suggest bath mats in the showers to prevent accidental slippage ! Otherwise a jewel in the Keswick crown!
