Stone Ledges is a well-regarded cottage in Keswick, praised for its central yet peaceful location. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, convenient proximity to amenities, and the thoughtful provision of kitchen and cleaning supplies. While most reviews highlight the cleanliness and comfort, one review suggests a need for a more thorough cleaning.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be exceptionally clean and well-maintained. However, one review mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as a dirty fridge seal and kitchen sink, which slightly lowers the overall score.
The location is highly praised for being central to Keswick's high street, with easy access to shops and local walks. The quietness despite the proximity to the town centre is particularly appreciated.
Guests describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and ideal for relaxing after a day out, especially with its effective heating and hot water system. The comfort of the beds and the living space is also commended.
The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen utensils and cleaning items, and guests are satisfied with the facilities provided. However, one review mentioned the inconvenience of the distance to the car park in the rain, which suggests some room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
While the reviews indicate that the cottage is well-stocked and the owners are helpful, there is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

In particular fridge seal very dirty, kitchen sink dirty & stained. Lots of big cobwebs in the corners. Had to remove handfuls of black hairs from the sheet on the double bed & turn the sheet inside out as other side didn't seem clean. Never had to do this before at any hotel, cottage, apartment.

You cannot access directly from central carpark as this side of poplar Street is gated. From central carpark head to the keswick main highstreet and the entrance is down the alleyway next to the old keswickian chip shop.

It is so central to the high street whilst being super quiet! The communication with the owners re: parking was great and was superb to not have to worry about parking. I canât recommend enough!!
